Cheapest with a free shuttle both ways

The ibis Styles Amsterdam Airport in Schiphol-Oost matches the price with a free shuttle, a proper restaurant and family rooms. Breakfast at the Bastion and Best Western has been €18.25 per person, which is the first hidden cost.

Breakfast included, one train stop away

In Hoofddorp the Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - Schiphol includes a continental breakfast and the Hampton by Hilton a hot one. The Holiday Inn Express has no shuttle, so the terminal is a nine-minute walk to Hoofddorp station plus a four-minute train; the Hampton has a free shuttle and a 10-minute walk to the same station.
