YOTELAIR Amsterdam Schiphol
YOTELAIR Amsterdam Schiphol is the airport’s cabin hotel, airside in Lounge 2 after security and passport control. It is built for the layover rather than the holiday: 57 compact cabins sold by the hour or the night, a rain shower in each, and a 24-hour desk called Mission Control that sells snacks, meals and toiletries. Every pier except the M bus gates is a few minutes’ walk away.

Guest Rooms
The cabins come as Standard, Premium Queen (about 10 sq.m.) and Family (about 22 sq.m.), and the same cabins are sold as day rooms; shower-only bookings have also been offered.

Each cabin has a SmartBed that converts between couch and bed, mood lighting and blackout, a pull-out desk with USB ports, a smart TV and fast free Wi-Fi. The bathroom has a rain shower with Urban Jungle shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and lotion. Storage is limited to cabin bags, which is the rule of the whole airside zone; a hair dryer is available on request.
Standard cabin amenities include:
- Bathroom amenities
- Desk with USB ports
- Hair dryer on request
- Safe
- Smart TV
- Free Wi-Fi
Breakfast and Dining
Breakfast is continental or à la carte: muesli bars, croissants, fruit yoghurt, apples, juice and hot drinks including tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Around the clock, Mission Control delivers lunch and dinner to the cabin from a short menu that has included pizza, paninis, noodle pots, Indonesian dishes and ice cream, and sells drinks including alcohol. The cafés and restaurants of Lounge 2 are outside the door.

Facilities and Services
The reception is open 24 hours and also stocks toiletries and travel essentials. Fast free Wi-Fi covers the cabins. There is no gym or pool; the trade-off for a bed minutes from the gate is that everything else is compact.

Location and Transportation
YOTELAIR is inside the terminal, airside, in Lounge 2, after check-in, security and passport control and opposite the Sushi & Noodles bar. Guests must be in transit or checked in for a departing flight; no visa is needed for a transit stay because the hotel is before immigration. Large luggage cannot be brought to the cabins.
Nothing else is needed to reach it. Passengers with a long enough layover for the city can use the NS station under Schiphol Plaza on the landside, about 15 minutes to Amsterdam Centraal; our sleeping at Schiphol guide compares the cabins with the airport’s free rest areas and pods.
Nearby Alternatives
The Mercure Hotel Schiphol Terminal in Lounge 3 is the other airside choice, with full-size rooms and a 9:00 am check-out. Landside, citizenM Schiphol Airport is four minutes on foot from Arrivals 4 with bigger rooms and 24-hour food, and the Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol on the covered walkway adds a pool and spa.

Can I book a cabin for just a few hours?
Yes. Cabins are sold in hourly blocks from a short minimum as well as overnight, which is what makes it the default choice for a layover of three to eight hours.
